Phil Pringle, along with his wife Chris, founded C3 Church Global, a movement of 470 churches in 60 countries with a reach of 87,883 people worldwide. Hailing from New Zealand, Phil and Chris left the long white cloud in 1980 with their kids and a few good friends to plant the first Christian City Church – as it was known back then – on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. They had come from a radical conversion to Christianity; living in a hippie commune, Phil and Chris happened upon a small Pentecostal church where they were radically saved and set free. Marrying soon after, Phil and Chris leaped into ministry, sharing the gospel with everyone they encountered.
Phil has been an advocate for reviving the arts in ministry. Having studied Fine Arts at University, Phil is known for his artwork, sculptures and live paintings. Bringing that passion to the next generation, the Pringle’s began a Creative Ministry school that continues to grow each year, with streams ranging from vocals to screen production teaching practical tools in ministry and the arts. The C3 Church Oxford Falls campus also holds a state of the art TV Studio that brings Phil’s teachings via the program “Your Best Life” to channels streaming globally. Although in high demand as a key communicator on faith and church planting, Phil’s great love is the local church and winning Sydney to Christ. He is committed to developing leaders who can spread the vision and plant churches that are the hope of the world, to see the lost saved and the power of the Holy Spirit revealed.
As she is known affectionately within C3, “Mama Chris” is a mother, wife, author, friend and incredible communicator who has been active in ministry for over 30 years. Chris is mother to Bek (married to Matt), Dan (married to Leah), and Joe and Nanna to Finn, Sonny, Rooney Bea and Goldie Jean and wife to Phil for 40+ years.
With kids in tow and a few good friends, Phil and Chris moved from New Zealand to Sydney with a dream to see God’s church built. Phil and Chris were high school sweethearts and have walked the entirety of their Christian journey together – from living in a hippie commune to finding Christ in a small Pentecostal church in Christchurch, New Zealand. They married shortly after and have been sharing God’s love and healing powers ever since. Planting the first Christian City Church – as it was known then – on the Northern Beaches of Sydney in 1980, the Pringles now oversee 470 C3 Churches around the globe, ministering to 89,883 people each week.
