C3 Australia
As the first Region within C3 Global, Australia has a proud heritage of innovation and expansion. For over 40 years C3 churches have been woven into the fabric of local communities in beachside towns, rural centres, remote communities and huge world-class cities. Almost 100 locations are spread across nine states and territories with the largest concentration on the east coast, particularly in Sydney.
This land of incredible beauty and contrast presents unique challenges and opportunities - from the vast distances between its population centres to the rapidly changing demographics. Below the surface of picture-postcard landscapes and the laid-back spirit of “mateship” lies a deep need for community and belonging - the kind that can only be found through Jesus and His church!
Regional Focus - With this incredible diversity and growth unfolding in real-time, our vision is to see Life-Giving Churches within reach of every Australian. We can see our reach doubling over the next decade as communities of faith are established in rural towns and urban centres by leaders equipped to reach this dynamic nation.

Recent News:
The past few years have seen exciting developments ranging from reviving historic buildings in regional Tasmania to taking ground in the urban sprawl of Sydney.
In the southernmost state of Australia, C3 Devonport has brought new life to a 100yr-old church building in the heart of their town, while C3 Hobart have recently purchased land to establish a new facility in a regional community where they currently run a service.
In Jigalong deep in the outback desert of Western Australia, C3 Hepburn Heights are building a gathering space for the church they have planted in a remote community. With extreme climates to contend with, the walls of this concrete and tin shed can be raised and lowered to provide relief from the heat or shelter from elements as needed.
Recent Highlights - After discovering homelessness was a major issue in their local community, C3 Coffs Harbour has partnered with local service providers and provided almost 10,000 meals in the last three years.
Innovation - C3 Powerhouse launched a new location almost 2000 kms away in suburban Melbourne only weeks before that city endured the longest lockdown globally. Despite this, they were able to build a strong core-team online and quickly begin gatherings when able. In a few short years they’ve been able to secure a miracle facility and see more than 200ppl at a recent service.
Community Action - Australia is known for its extreme climate, and devastating floods have impacted many communities in recent years. C3 churches across the nation joined together to raise funds and provide practical support, with those in affected communities building ongoing relationships with local government and other agencies to provide rapid deployment of volunteers and ongoing support of affected families.
MIRACLE IN MOTION:
C3 Toongabbie were able to purchase the block of land next to their existing church facility against all odds in the middle of Covid disruptions. Despite competition from developers they were able to negotiate a sale at 30% less than the original asking price and just days before other factors would have made this impossible!
The Future Looks Like:
With a vision to see our locations double in the next decade, C3 Australia is developing a strategic approach to release the next wave of church planters and location pastors. Central to this will be online collectives and in-person intensives like Xpress which will not only develop leaders but connect them with those on the same journey across this vast land of opportunity!
